The driving force behind GJC, Gavin Jones has been helping companies to grow for much of his 20 year career.

Iain Whyte
Managing Director (Scotland)

Iain has over 25 years’ experience, and has achieved a strong and proven record delivering results for business owners, and motivating audiences across the world. He has a strong reputation for engaging, fun and enlightening presentations, helping people to see that the answers are in the room. Now working as the Regional Director in Scotland, Iain and his GJC associates can help to drive your business forwards, showing you what tools you need to tap into what and who you already know!


Bill Douthwaite FCA MBA joined GJC as an associate to lead our outsourced FD division. He has over 30 years experience in-practice spread between global and national accountancy firms; in-house with JCB and TSB; and as an external consultant to clients in construction, financial, legal, property, service and technology sectors. Bill is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience at the top management level in SME businesses

Bill has significant expertise at each stage of the business cycle, from startup and acquisition right through to exit, and a proven track record in profit growth, cash flow improvement and the supply insightful management information which makes a real difference to clients.


Kristiina Gwynne joined GJC as an associate in December 2019 after setting up and running her own company and spending over a decade in leadership, small business development and team building with the likes of Serco, Outset Plymouth and the University of Exeter.

On joining, she said: “I’m really excited to be joining GJC because it has a proven track record in developing successful strategies and implementing plans for clients. My strength is merging public and private sector thinking to empower teams and deliver success… I can’t wait to get started.


David Annable brings with him 20 years of experience in the financial sector and is a board level leader with a track record of supporting strategic development, overcoming challenges and enhancing processes to drive operational and financial performance. Experienced across multiple sectors, SME’s and owner managed businesses, David has handled financial matters in the recruitment sector, the motor trade business, manufacturing, packaging, retail, the leisure industry, distribution and even the airline industry.


David Appleton has proven experience of profit improvement through margin growth and overhead cost reduction. Recent experience includes post acquisition integration, strategic business transformation projects, change management and systems implementation. He has worked with SME’s to FTSE 250/100 and international companies including Wolseley, DHL, Amazon, Volvo, DS Smith, Lavendon, Hertz.


Tom brings with him 10 years track record after training and qualifying with UK Top 50 firm Bishop Fleming before moving into senior in-house roles. He has gained extensive expertise from working as a trusted advisor to clients in healthcare, e-commerce, manufacturing, recruitment and education sectors from turnarounds through to drawing up and executing strategic expansion plans.


Over 17 years’ experience as a Board level executive/business owner in sectors including education, hospitality and leisure, sport as the former FD of Derby County FC.

His track record includes business exits for 3 ownership groups with combined values of circa £65M; Repeated pattern of high double-digit turnover and profit growth, both organically and through selective acquisition, ensuring business expansion and sustainability; Successful delivery of major IT infrastructure projects with investment of over £600K.


Accomplished and influential Senior Executive with over 25 years experience of financial, commercial and business management. Proven success of turnaround and change management in SME’s. Extensive experience in a range of industries including international operations, listed public companies and VC/PE funded businesses. Successful cash and working capital management
and cost reduction. Creation of robust business plans and business analysis. Management of acquisitions and disposals, business start ups and stock market flotations.


A proven track record of delivering increased profitability, raising capital and securing corporate finance for companies from internationals to start ups.

He has operated at senior/board level in diverse locations throughout the UK, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pac.  Ian has significant experience in managing change including start-ups, liquidations, redundancy and mergers & acquisitions, J.V’s.  He is also skilled in negotiating with banks and other investors to satisfy financial requirements and due diligence.


Robert has joined GJC to assist the network in delivering proven and effective sales strategies for each client to revolutionise the ways in which they sell. Running an outsourced sales business, he brings an array of different skills acquired over many years within luxurious hospitality to the corporate sales world. With a proven track record in sales and increasing revenue for businesses he is able to consult from prospecting to closing the deal.


A Big 4 trained chartered accountant and seasoned business executive and board director, Stephen has extensive experience in both growth and business turnaround within the private sector including family owned and VC/Family office/HNWI funded, SMEs and AIM listed, $bn multinationals as well as ‘Not For Profit’.

In his 25+ years as a FD/CFO Stephen has built significant expertise in B2B and B2C services, land and property, retail, recruitment and ICT sectors.


Emma is passionate about customer service and developing structures within businesses to help achieve success with service sales and growth. She studied her degree in Psychology and is naturally a people person. She has a working background in banking, financial sales, also service provision within a high net worth environment and development of systems to aid transparency and efficiency within companies. Most recently supporting exit planning. In her spare time Emma enjoys spending quality time with her family and keeping fit by jogging.


With experience working across multiple countries, sectors and organisational types, Rajesh has a proven record of bridging financial and operational strategies to deliver business transformation.

Paolo Peretti

Paolo is a driven and passionate leader with an engaging style and a reputation for growing profitable sales, through a relentless focus on quality, customer experience and great execution. With over 25 years’ experience he is comfortable in complex, multi branded environments and has worked for both large corporations and small start-up businesses. Paolo is a confident leader who has put together and developed a number of high performing teams and delivered consistent sales and profit growth.


Scott is passionate and proactive about people development, achieved by nurturing and coaching key players and focusing on building a successful and diverse team.

Andrea Constantinou
Executive / Virtual Assistant
An accomplished EA and VA with an entrepreneurial spirit. Andrea has a successful track record overseeing operations, including marketing, PR, HR, financing and project management. With a wealth of background experience in security and investigation and the construction and creative industries. Andrea describes herself as ‘passionate, dynamic, driven, self-motivated, fun’, she is also ‘very excited to work alongside the inspiring Gavin Jones and our team of brilliant associates.’
Sian Jones
Office Manager

As Office Manager, Sian is responsible for all office procedures, using her organisational skills to ensure daily operations at GJC run smoothly. A qualified teacher, with additional accounting and HR training, Sian regularly draws on these to help GJC achieve success. In her spare time, Sian enjoys social events with her family and friends.
